Inspired by the fear of being average, I strive to exhibit individuality, confidence, and culture through my outfits. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago, I was exposed to a vibrant, urban culture of fashion. I was inspired by icons like Law Roach who made me realize that my dream of working in the fashion industry was attainable. My childhood, however, was riddled with struggle, which fueled my creativity even more. Out of necessity, I learned how to style myself with whatever I had. I often repurposed my mother’s old clothes and I developed a talent for creating many different outfit combinations with few pieces. That struggle turned into talent shaped me into the stylist I am today. It also inspired my first project which was simply me styling two pairs of jeans in six different ways. Since then, I’ve styled myself in multiple shoots and each one has been better than the last. I was also hired as a stylist at Akira in Hyde Park, Chicago. As I continue to cultivate my craft, I dive deeper into my purpose. Fashion is an art and style is my passion. I intend to use both to leave my legacy in this world.
